How it Works!
This application can be used to determine the "Gas to Oil Ratio" for any 2-stroke engine. Please refer to your manual for the correct ratio.
How it works in US terms: 50 to 1 (50:1) means 50 ounces of gas gets 1 ounce of oil and 25 to 1 (25:1) means 25 ounces of gas gets 1 ounce of oil. So, a 25:1 ratio has twice the amount of oil than a 50:1 ratio. When breaking-in an outboard engine, you should double the amount of oil being used for the first 10 hours of use. Example: If the normal ratio is 50:1 then the correct break-in amount is 25:1. You can test this by entering 50 into the "Gas to Oil Ratio" field and note the results. Now enter 25 and note that the amount of oil to add has doubled.
